Christmas at The Bishop's Palace is a festive occasion for all the family and this year is no exception.

The rooms of the medieval Palace building will be decked out in their Christmas finery, with seasonal foliage from the Palace Gardens used to create stunning adornments to complement the historic interiors. Enter the Entrance Hall with its roaring fire and explore the roams of the Palace which will also include the return of our popular Schools Eco-Exhibition!

Outside visitors can explore the magical inner gardens of the Bishop's Palace illuminated with festive decorations and beautiful Christmas Illuminations.

Christmas Illuminations Dates:

The Christmas Illuminations are located in and around the Gardens and can be enjoyed only for our special late openings which are: 1st (Member's Only), 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th December.

The Illuminations will begin at 3.30pm on the above evenings.

Last entry time will be 6.30pm with the inner gardens open until 7.00pm.

The Bishop's Table café will also be serving its festive menu so stay to enjoy a delicious treat.

We will also be joined every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening by Denela's Bakery who will be selling their delicious hog roast!

Access to the Christmas Illuminations is included with any valid admission to The Bishop's Palace.
