Police are investigating reports of a motorbike being ridden dangerously around Wells city streets, with officers actively searching for the rider.

Concerns were raised by members of the public about the reckless manner in which the bike is being used, prompting the local beat team to step up patrols in the area.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We are aware of reports of a motorbike being ridden in a reckless manner in and around Wells. The safety of pedestrians and other road users is our priority, and we are actively looking to identify the rider and speak with them about their behaviour. We encourage anyone with information to come forward."
