Wells Cathedral is currently hosting Peter Walker's acclaimed Peace Doves exhibition, with just over a week remaining to see this stunning artwork.

The exhibition, which began on Friday 26 April, will be on display until Monday 8 June 2024.

Peter Walker, a renowned sculptor and artist, created 'Peace Doves' as a mass-participation artwork. Thousands of paper doves carrying messages of peace, hope, and love are suspended in a beautiful, illuminated installation over the Nave of the Cathedral. The artwork is accompanied by music composed by David Harper, enhancing the experience.

Visitors to Wells Cathedral were invited to write their messages on the handmade doves, making this installation unique to Wells. This community engagement provides a focal point for both locals and visitors. Local schools have also been involved, creating their own peace-inspired exhibitions.
