West Mendip Walkers moderate 12.2 mile (19.6Kms) circular walk from Lydeard Hill Car Park with 1,815 feet of climb. The walk commences in a Westerly direction over Lydeard Hill and then descends through the Bagborough Plantation before contouring round to the village of Triscombe. The walk continues round the foot of Great Hill before ascending to the west side of the Quantock Hills at Black Hill. From here we loop back Easterly on the Macmillan Way West, skirting the edge of the Quantock Forest to the village of Alsholt. We then follow a clear Southerly path, ascending gently slopes back to the car park. A dog-friendly walk with a couple of small stiles. There are route variations available to cut short the walk in the event of inclement weather on the day.

West Mendip Walkers moderate 9.5 mile circular walk from Trudoxhill (BA11 5DP) White Hart Inn car park. We follow the Macmillan Way south as far as Walk Farm then turn to walk towards Tytherington, Marston Bigot and back to Trudoxhill. The walk is across farmland which may have cattle with short stretches of road and a few stiles.

West Mendip Walkers moderate 9 mile circular walk from Combe Hay. Setting off in an easterly direction the walk follows the route of the Old Somerset Coal Canal and then the Somerset and Dorset railway from Midford. It then heads east through Horsecombe Vale and the village of Southstoke, continuing through fields and along tracks before turning southwest down the Fosse Way. In Dunkerton the walk turns east across fields back to the start point. The walk is dog friendly, though there may be livestock in fields. There are two busy roads which will need to be crossed with care.

West Mendip Walkers moderate 11.5miles circular walk from Beckington across fields, alongside the river, through woodland and the quiet, quaint villages of Laverton and Lullington passing through Orchardleigh, Spring Gardens, Vallis Vale, Bedlam and Buckland Dinham on the way.
During the medieval period, Beckington was a major centre for the wool trade. By the 15th century, fulling mills had been built along the banks of the River Frome which supported the spinning and weaving cottage industries. Its other claim to fame is on September 10th 1663, King Charles ll, along with Catherine, his Queen, rode through the village. Another royal visitor over one hundred years later, on September 15th 1789, also passed through. This time it was King George lll and Queen Charlotte, along with three princesses, on their way to Longleat House.

West Mendip Walkers moderate 10 mile circular walk starting in the Wiltshire village of Maiden Bradley, heading west round Mapperton Hill and then north through the deserted medieval village of Yarnefield. We then take a wide track with fine views through woodland to reach Druly Hill Farm where we enter the Stourhead Estate. A bridleway takes us to the village of Kilmington from where clear paths and quiet country lanes take us back to Mapperton Hill and Maiden Bradley.
