Neil Balfour is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and the National Opera Studio.

Having started life as a pianist, conductor and punk-rocker, a Damascene moment saw him fall in love with classical singing.

He was the first opera singer to be booked by the Glastonbury Festival in the Astrolabe Tent and has had over 100 million plays as a voiceover artist.

Schumann's famous lieder cycle Liederkreis will be the centrepiece of this programme.
