Celebrating Maytime with songs and stories of spring and sunlight
Shepton Artists are planning a brilliant exhibition opening on May 9th, celebrating Maytime at 8, Town Street, Shepton Mallet BA4 5BG
On May 16th, to make the exhibition's Grand Finale really special, they'll be adding music and stories to the visual arts, with singer and multi-instrumentalist Jenny Bliss, who'll be "weaving her magic again" (BBC Radio 3) with unique compositions, songs and improvisations played on an array of ancient and exotic instruments.
Between the songs and breathtaking music, storyteller Beth Webb will be telling two ancient tales about kindness, hope and new beginnings: 'Taliesin' and 'How Robin and Marian Came to Sherwood.'
All rounded off with a glass of Prosecco and excellent company.
Do join us. The exhibition will be open 7-10 pm, and the 'May Magic' performance is at 7-8 pm. Free entry.
