Photography Masterclass

This masterclass is the perfect opportunity for visitors to improve their photography skills. Whether an expert or novice, all participants are certain to learn something new. The masterclass will consist of a guided photography session of the Palace's 14-acre gardens. You will need to provide your own camera to capture this beautiful space but there's no need to bring along a DSLR camera unless you want to as any smartphone camera will be sufficient. No matter what equipment you possess, the expert will offer tips and tricks on how to take better photos.

The masterclass' expert is one Graham Parish of Shutterbugs Photography Experiences. Graham is a native of Bath but much of his photography career has been associated with Bristol. As a photographer with over 30 years of experience, some of his first paid work was photographing food for Marks & Spencers. Since then, he has transitioned into a top-class landscape photographer. He was recently commissioned to photograph the Mendip Hills and cannot wait to guide visitors on the best way to photograph the Palace and Gardens.

The masterclass runs from 11am to 12.30pm. On the day of the masterclass, please arrive at the Ticket Office 15 minutes prior to the session starting. Palace staff members will direct you to the starting point for the session where you will be greeted by Graham.

The workshop will be approximately 1.5 hours long and your ticket includes day entry to The Bishop's Palace and Gardens (opening times 9.30am-5.30pm)
