Sadler Street in Wells is due to close for two days from Tuesday 26 August 2025 to allow Wessex Water to carry out essential works.

The road will be shut between 09:30 and 15:30 on both days while a manhole cover is replaced. The closure affects access through the city centre, and emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the site during this time.

A signed diversion will be in place throughout the works. The suggested route runs via Chamberlain Street, Princes Road, Priory Road, Queen Street, and St Cuthbert Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow all posted signage.
