Ben was a junior member of Wells & Mendip Astronomers and is now Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute for Astronomy, Edinburgh University. Ben will explain some of his exoplanet research conducting observing runs with the latest giant telescopes. We will gain a firsthand insight into the nocturnal life of a professional astronomer.

We will be holding an observing session following Ben's talk and, weather permitting, we may catch a glimpse of the comet C/2023 A3
