St Cuthbert's Church in Wells opened its doors for the annual Crib Festival over the weekend, showcasing an eclectic mix of nativity scenes that ranged from traditional to downright quirky.

Running from Friday, 13th December, to Sunday, 15th December, the festival has become a much-loved tradition in the city, drawing locals and visitors alike to admire the creativity on display.

Among the highlights this year was a nativity scene made entirely of cheese, which proved a real talking point.

Mayor of Wells, Councillor Jasmine Browne, officially opened the festival alongside Town Crier Len Sweales, adding a ceremonial flourish to the occasion.

Visitors were treated to an array of cribs, from beautifully handcrafted designs to more modern interpretations, set against the stunning backdrop of St Cuthbert's Church. The event offered a perfect opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit while celebrating the artistry and imagination of the community.

The Crib Festival is one of Wells' standout festive events, drawing crowds year after year with its unique blend of tradition and creativity.
