Wells weekly market will take a festive break this winter, with the last market of the year confirmed for Christmas Eve, Wednesday, 24 December 2025.

The twice-weekly market, held in Wells Market Place every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm, will resume on Saturday, 10 January 2026, following a short post-Christmas closure.

A regular fixture in the Somerset events calendar, the Wells market is known for its wide range of local produce, artisan foods, crafts, and handmade gifts. It attracts visitors from across the Mendip district and remains one of the region's most popular outdoor markets.

Shoppers can browse stalls selling seasonal fruit and veg, freshly baked goods, locally brewed beers, regional cheeses, and more. Craft and street food vendors also feature weekly, adding to the lively atmosphere in the city centre.
