Wells City Carnival is appealing for local businesses to come forward as sponsors for this year's event.

Organisers say firms that sign up will be able to promote themselves in a range of ways while helping support one of the city's best-known community traditions.

In a post online, Wells City Carnival said: "Want to promote your business while supporting a fantastic community event?

"Wells City Carnival is looking for local businesses to partner with us through sponsorship."

The carnival team said sponsorship packages can include promotion across social media channels, street signage during the event, advertising in the official carnival programme and visibility on its website.

It added: "Your support helps us bring the Wells City Carnival to the streets of Wells each year, creating a vibrant event for the whole community to enjoy."

Organisers are now asking interested businesses to get in touch to find out more about the available sponsorship opportunities.
