A much-loved free trishaw service is back out on the streets of Wells as spring arrives.

Wells Community Network has announced the return of the trishaw rides, which are aimed at supporting people who may feel lonely or isolated, or who face challenges with memory or mobility.

The group said people will be seeing the trishaw around the city more often over the coming weeks as it continues its mission of giving residents the chance to enjoy a gentle ride around Wells.

It is also reminding people that the service is completely free.

Anyone who would like to book a ride, or knows someone who might benefit, can call 01749 467079.

The latest post from the network featured Daphne and her companion Nicki, as the service got back out and about for the new season.

The return of the trishaw will be welcome news for many in Wells, where schemes like this can offer not just practical support but also a chance to get out, see the city and enjoy some company.
