Avon and Somerset Police released an image of a man following an assault at a supermarket on Tucker Street in Wells on Thursday, 15 October.

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after an incident at a supermarket in Wells last month.

Avon and Somerset Police said a man entered the Tucker Street premises at about 7.35pm on Thursday, 15 October, and stopped to stare at a member of staff. He then carried out an indecent act.

When challenged, the man made threats and assaulted staff, police said. Nobody suffered serious injury or received hospital treatment.

Officers believe the man shown in the image may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the man is asked to call 101, quoting reference 5226339007, or use the online appeal.
