When do tickets for Glastotnbury Festival 2024 go on sale?

As Glastonbury 2024 tickets are about to go on sale, fans are gearing up for another year of online frenzy.

This local guide aims to equip festival-goers, especially those right on our doorstep where the iconic festival is held, with everything they need—from ticket prices and registration deadlines to broadband speeds in the South West.

Ticket details for Glastonbury 2024

Tickets, along with coach travel options, will be available for purchase from 6 pm GMT on Thursday, 16th November. General admission tickets go on sale at 9 am GMT on Sunday, 19th November.

The ticket itself costs £355 plus a £5 booking fee. You can secure your ticket with a £75 deposit and pay the rest by the first week of April 2024. If you're keen on coach travel, those tickets can cost between £40 and £150 depending on where you're coming from.

Tickets will be sold exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com.

Information about Local and Sunday tickets will be released after the main ticket sales and there's a re-sale expected at the end of April 2024.

The South West's broadband lottery

Here's where it gets local. Ironically, the South West, which boasts the festival's location, is the second-worst region in the UK for ticket-buying broadband speeds. According to National Broadband, a staggering 46,071 homes in the region can't even access 10Mbps broadband speeds. So, if you're in Clevedon, Heytesbury, or Kenn in Somerset, you're in luck with favourable broadband conditions. On the flip side, in Corsley, Wiltshire and Falmouth, Cornwall, you might find yourself out of luck with slow speeds and high network traffic.

2.5 million vying for 200,000 tickets

With an estimated 2.5 million people expected to try for one of the 200,000 tickets, it's no wonder cards saying "Sorry you didn't get a Glastonbury ticket" are now a thing. Launched by thortful.com, the card even features festival founder and local dairy farmer, Michael Eavis.

So as you get ready to click refresh on your browser, consider your broadband speed and maybe even a thortful card for a friend who might not be so lucky.
