Nurture Vet backs Weston Rotary Dog Day charity event
By Laura Linham 1st May 2026
Wells-based vets Nurture are backing Weston Rotary Dog Day on 9 May, with dog classes, family fun and fundraising for local charities.
Nurture Vet Hospital and Nurture Vet GP and Dentist have both thrown their support behind Weston Rotary Dog Day, which is due to take place on Saturday, 9 May.
The practice said it was "excited to be part of this year's Weston Rotary Dog Day" and urged owners to come along with their pets.
One of the featured classes will be The Dog the Judge Would Like to Take Home, which is being sponsored by Nurture Vet GP and Dentist. A spokesperson said it is "one of the most fun classes of the day" and the moment where "personality, charm and that little bit of magic really shine".
The class is due to be judged by Fleur Bament.
The event is being billed as a full day out for dog lovers, with fun dog classes, a friendly community atmosphere and fundraising for local causes.
Nurture Vet said: "Fancy a day by the seaside with your dog? Come and join us at Weston Rotary Dog Day. We would love to see you and raise funds to help support Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary and other Rotary charities."
For dog owners in Wells and the surrounding area, the event offers a chance to head to the coast for a pet-friendly day with a charitable twist.
