Last night, the streets of Wells came alive with the colour, sound, and spectacle of the 2024 Wells Carnival, captivating crowds as the illuminated procession wound its way through the city.

A true celebration of creativity and community spirit, the event showcased stunning entries from some of Somerset's best-loved carnival clubs.

From Huckyduck Carnival Club's award-winning Brunel tableau to Gremlins Carnival Club's dazzling Beatlemania feature, the procession offered a visual feast for all who lined the streets. The carnival also highlighted the next generation of talent, with juvenile entries like Rubalo Junior Carnival Club's Birds of Paradise proving a hit with spectators.
