The Bishop's Palace in Wells has announced the hatching of four cygnets on its moat, much to the excitement of locals and visitors.

The Swan Whisperer, Moira, captured a lovely photo of the newborns, adding to the picturesque scene of the historic palace.

The Bishop's Palace has been home to several generations of swans, and the presence of these new additions is a testament to the hard work of the staff and volunteers who care for these majestic birds.

While the staff are doing their best to update the public when the remaining eggs hatch, visitors can now witness the wonder of the young cygnets as they grow and explore their home on the moat. However, it's important to remember to keep a safe distance from the swans and their young, as they can be territorial and protective.

To give the public a closer look at the swans and their young, the Bishop's Palace has set up a 24-hour live Swan Cam on its website, allowing visitors to catch a glimpse of the swans and cygnets at any time.

"We're thrilled to welcome these new cygnets to the Bishop's Palace," said a spokesperson for the attraction. "It's a heartwarming sight, and we encourage visitors to stop by and observe them in their natural habitat. We ask that visitors also respect the swans and their young by keeping a safe distance and avoiding any disturbance."
