Patricia Routledge and Piers Lane in Admission: One Shilling

Wells Cathedral

UNTIL Friday 29th October

Admission: One Shilling was first performed by Patricia Routledge and Piers Lane in 2009 as part of the annual Dame Myra Hess Day at London's National Gallery.

Through spoken word punctuated with piano music by Brahms, Schubert, Chopin and more, this acclaimed production, written by Nigel Hess, tells the extraordinary and inspiring story of the famous lunchtime concerts which took place at the Gallery throughout the Second World War.

Enjoy this wonderful production in the shadow of Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon at Wells Cathedral this autumn.

Please note: Tickets are banded, and seats will be allocated by the cathedral accordingly to allow for households/bubbles to be sufficiently socially distanced from each other. Thank you for patience and understanding.

Proceeds from this concert support the charitable work of Wells Cathedral.
