Alexandra Whittingham Live in Concert at Wells Cathedral
Wells Cathedral
UNTIL Friday 25th June
Wells Cathedral is thrilled to be hosting classical guitarist, Alexandra Whittingham, to perform live in concert on Friday June 25.
The programme will include works by Coste, Shand, Pratten, Gerhard and Dyens.
About Alexandra:
After studying classical guitar, piano, jazz guitar and composition at the world-renowned Chetham's School of Music for seven years, Alexandra Whittingham gained a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Having graduated with first class honours and the Timothy Gilson Guitar Prize in 2019, she has returned to the Royal Academy to complete a masters degree.
Alexandra has recently signed with Delphian on an initial three-recording collaboration, to include a programme of all female composers and a recital of South American music.
"Alexandra's performances are always engaging and uplifting – and, in the past few weeks, she has just been signed to Delphian Records ... clearly, they see a young artist with immense talent and huge potential to shape the classical world."
Classic FM Please note: Tickets are banded, and seats will be allocated by the cathedral accordingly to allow for households/bubbles to be sufficiently socially distanced from each other. Thank you for patience and understanding.Share:
