A professional performance from Wells City, who controlled the game from start to finish, saw them defeat Bishop Sutton 4-1 to reach the quarter finals of the Premier Cup.
The first action of the game was after just two minutes when good hold up play by Harvey Hadrill saw him lay the ball to Dale Hunt on the edge of the box, but his effort was well saved.
On four minutes, the Bishop Sutton number 9 cut in from the right and forced a good save from Harley Wilkinson.
Wells took the lead a minute later when Tom Hill played it wide to the overlapping Charlie Crook who pulls the ball back for Craig Herrod who, from the edge of the 18 yard box, curled the ball into the far top corner.
Wells doubled their lead after 14 minutes when great play by Ross Padfield and Crook saw Padfield find Herrod who glided past the full back before finding Hill who smashed home from 12 yards.
On 17 minutes, a short corner from Padfield to Herrod saw a mix up in the Bishop Sutton box but Hunt blazed over from 10 yards.
Brilliant closing down a minute later by Hadrill saw Hunt latch onto the loose ball and his ball into the box was met by Hill who narrowly toe poked it wide.
After 21 minutes, good link up play between Kieran Davis and Herrod saw Herrod pull the ball back for Hunt but he saw his effort again go over.
On 43 minutes, a deep free kick from Wilkinson was controlled and laid off by Harry Foster to Herrod with his effort just curling wide from 20 yards.
Just before the break, a blistering Bishop Sutton counter attack ended with their number 10 blazing high and wide when one on one, leaving the score 2-0 to Wells at half-time.
Wells extended their lead on 52 minutes when great wide play by Padfield including a couple step overs, saw him cut it back to Hunt who crossed for Herrod, and he then laid the ball to Foster and still with a lot to do, he smashed a half volley into the top corner from 25 yards to put Wells 3-0 up.
On 65 minutes, Hadrill had a turn and shot from the edge of the box after good Herrod work but the Bishop Sutton keeper did well to hold.
Wells completed their scoring on 72 minutes when, after winning the ball back, Ben Amghar played a brilliant ball to Herrod who unselfishly laid the ball to Harry for an open goal to get his second of the game and Wells' fourth.
Bishop Sutton got a consolation goal on 87 minutes when a great ball in by their number 10 found number 11 unmarked, who headed into the far corner leaving Wilkinson with no chance.
Craig Herrod was man of the match after he started the scoring and then went on to assist the other three goals, a brilliant individual performance in a great team display. Wells now progress to the quarter finals of the Premier Cup.
Wells are back at home Saturday as they face Hengrove, 3pm kick off.
