BJP Consulting's newest addition to the team, Ben Gudzelak, has been asked to captain another team, the Men's Senior GB Padel Team at the World Championships held this year in La Nucia from 15th - 21st April. Ben joined BJP Consulting, based in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, at the turn of the new year.

It is a real honour for Ben (3rd from right in the attached picture from last year's European Championships) to be asked to fulfill this role, which he has been asked to carry out with his friend and team mate Nick Holloway. Ben and Nick started playing together in Huddersfield back in 2014 and quickly became friends as they were neighbours and shared a keen interest in sport, but had not envisaged that their interest in padel would take them on such a journey.

Ben moved to Croscombe at the end of 2021 and is now an Ambassador of the Rocket Padel club in Bristol and promoter of Slazenger. You can find him on court training or practicing at Rocket a few evenings a week.

Teams at the World Championships comprise of a pair from 5 age groups (over 35s, over 40s, over 45s, over 50s and over 55s) competing against countries from around the world. The standard is very high and competition will be fierce with everything to play for and Ben and Nick will ensure everyone gives their best effort for Team GB.
