Wells has seen an increase in anti-social behaviour from youths, including accessing the roofs of shops in the city centre, police have said.

There have also been reports of criminal damage caused during these incidents.

The police are urging all parents and guardians to be aware of their children's whereabouts and to speak with them about the dangers involved in such behaviour.

A police spokesperson said, "We are deeply concerned about the recent rise in youths climbing onto the roofs of buildings in Wells. Not only is this behaviour incredibly dangerous, but it also results in significant criminal damage.

"We urge parents to talk to their children about the serious risks involved."

If you see any suspicious activity, please call 101 or 999, depending on the emergency response required.
