If you've ever dreamed of shouting 'HELLO GLASTON-BERRY' into a mic in front of hordes wellied-up, mud-coated festival fans, here's your chance.

Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition is getting underway, giving young artists a chance to perform on a main stage at the festival in June.

It's supported by PRS for Music and PRS Foundation and gives upcoming artists from Ireland and the UK a chance to play at the festival.

The Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition sees 40 taste-makers sieve through a huge supply of fresh faces to pick a longlist of 120. A selection of judges, including Michael and Emily Eavis, narrow the list down to eight before the April live finals at Pilton Working Men's Club decide the winner.

The winner will also take home £5,000 to kickstart their musical career, such as helping towards studio costs or giving them some spare cash to spend on recording equipment.

The two runners-up will also each be awarded a £2,500 PRS Foundation Talent Development prize.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis said: "Showcasing new music is a hugely important part of what we do at Glastonbury, and the Emerging Talent Competition has helped us to discover so many incredible artists over the years.

"It's amazing to offer this platform to some of the brightest talents out there, and I can't wait to hear this year's entries!"

Acts from any musical genre can enter the 2023 competition using the form available on the Glastonbury's competition page from 9am Monday, January 30th until 5pm Monday, February 6th.

To enter, acts need to supply a YouTube link to one original song and a video of themselves performing live.

This can be a video taken from a live performance you have done in front of an audience, or even just a video of you singing alone in your bedroom.

Previous winners include She Drew the Gun, Declan McKenna and The Subways.
