Wells MP, James Heappey, has shared his thoughts on the new Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The Conservative MP for the Wells Constituency has welcomed Mr Johnson's appointment and says he hopes a new Prime Minister will end a period of inaction in Parliament.

He said: "I am delighted that Boris Johnson is our new Prime Minister.

"His commitment to delivering Brexit by the 31st October come what may is exactly what is needed to move this country forward and break the cycle of inaction within Parliament.

"More than that, he has set out an exciting new agenda for how to unite our country and then take it forward, and I very much look forward to supporting him."
