16th Jul 2021 | Local News

These fantastic photos of lightning above Wells were captured by Julian Yates during the thunderstorm last night (July 23).

Flashes of lightning could be seen at regular intervals around the city during the night, at one point becoming as regular as a flash every couple of seconds.

It is going to be another warm day in Wells today, with temperatures up to 26C, and tomorrow will be even hotter, with a maximum of 30C being predicted, before things start to cool off, reaching a predicted 21C on Sunday.
