This weekend, Wells transforms into a hub of activity with a series of engaging events for the community.

The festive spirit is in full swing with the ongoing Souls of our Shoes Exhibition at Wells Cathedral, continuing until 10th December. Running until the 10th of December, this unique exhibition explores the stories behind the shoes of the victims of domestic abuse.

The Bishop's Palace & Gardens will be bathed in festive lights with its Christmas Illuminations, ongoing from 1st to 21st December.

For those seeking enchantment, the Winter Wonderland at Wookey Hole Caves, from 1st to 23rd December, promises a magical experience.

Saturday evening, the Wells & Mendip Astronomers will be hosting an informal meeting at the Wells & Mendip Museum, perfect for stargazing enthusiasts. On Sunday, St Laurence's Church in Priddy welcomes the community for Mattins, providing a peaceful start to the day.

The Godney Carol Service at the Glastonbury Wedding & Events Venue, also on Sunday, offers a brief but heartwarming festive celebration.

Meanwhile, the RNLI Winscombe & District Branch Reindeer Run at Winscombe Cricket Club brings a dash of festive fun and physical activity, welcoming runners and walkers of all levels.

This weekend in Wells is not just about entertainment; it's an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the festive season in all its forms.
