Wells is set to launch its first Eco Week+, a ten-day event dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness across the community. Running from Friday 11 October to 20 October., the event offers a packed programme designed to engage residents of all ages in discussions and activities focused on building a more sustainable future.

Eco Week+ comes at a time when the effects of climate change, such as changing weather patterns and increased local flooding, are becoming more noticeable in and around Wells. The event aims to address these pressing issues by bringing the community together through a series of workshops, talks, and hands-on activities.

The programme includes everything from flood protection strategies and guided nature walks to wildlife photography sessions, litter picks, and energy efficiency workshops. There's something for everyone, whether you're a seasoned environmentalist or just starting to explore what you can do to help.
