Wells Comedy Festival has unveiled the second wave of acts for its 10th anniversary edition, with Sara Pascoe, Ed Gamble, Flo & Joan, Paul Foot and Mark Thomas among the names set to perform in the city over the 22–24 May 2026 weekend.

The expanded line-up also includes James Acaster, Sam Nicoresti, Nish Kumar, Tim Key, and Toussaint Douglass, who brings his acclaimed show Accessible Pigeon Material following a Best Newcomer nomination at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

The full programme now boasts more than 30 performances across venues including Cedars Hall, Wells Little Theatre, and pop-up locations around the city centre.

Galas, new shows and returning favourites

All Cedars Hall galas will be BSL interpreted, and tickets are already selling fast. The Friday and Saturday Night Galas feature festival favourites and debut performances from major names, while the special 10th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, 24 May will raise funds for local charities Vision Action and Wells Foodstore.

Newly announced shows include:

  • Ed Gamble – multiple appearances including a new work-in-progress
  • Flo & Joan – new musical comedy in development
  • Mark Thomas40 in Stand Up Years (Work-in-Progress)
  • Paul FootThe Future (Work-in-Progress)
  • Sam NicorestiBaby Doomer, following her 2025 Edinburgh win
  • Ian SmithFoot Spa Half Empty, nominated at Edinburgh

Tickets for most shows are on sale now, with Sara Pascoe and Ed Gamble tickets released at 11am on Friday, 13 February.

Twickets resale and ticket waiting lists

Organisers have again partnered with Twickets to offer face-value ticket resales. Each event also includes a waiting list, and any extra tickets released will go to those registered.

More show announcements are expected in the coming weeks as the full festival weekend takes shape.
