Wells City Council has announced plans to brighten up the city centre with Christmas lights, adding a festive touch to the streets as the holiday season approaches.

The installation is scheduled for the evenings of Monday 20th November and Tuesday 21st November, starting from 6 pm, provided the weather permits.

The areas set to sparkle with festive lights include Sadler Street, High Street, Broad Street, and Queen Street. These locations, often bustling with activity, will be transformed into a festive spectacle, bringing the holiday spirit to the heart of Wells.

While this festive installation is a much-anticipated event, the council has issued an apology in advance for any traffic delays that might occur during this process. Residents and visitors are advised to plan their travel accordingly to accommodate potential disruptions.

For those planning to visit the city centre, the council recommends considering alternative routes or adjusting travel times to avoid delays. The council appreciates the understanding and cooperation of the public during this time.

Stay tuned for more updates on festive events and activities in Wells. Don't forget to visit the city centre to experience the Christmas lights once they are up!
