The Wells Ambassadors are appealing for new volunteers to join their team and help welcome visitors to the city.

The group provides a friendly face for tourists and day-trippers, offering guidance, information and a warm welcome.

Volunteers say the thanks and feedback they receive from visitors makes the role especially rewarding.

Just two hours a week, Monday to Saturday, is all that's needed to take part. Basic training and notes on key features of the city are provided, with new Ambassadors initially paired up with more experienced members of the team.
