Renowned natural history filmmaker Mike Gunton is set to be the guest speaker at the launch event of the Wells Festival of Literature this summer, promising an evening of insight and inspiration.

Gunton, the creative director of the BBC Natural History Unit, is the visionary behind the acclaimed Planet Earth series, captivating audiences worldwide with its breathtaking cinematography and compelling narratives.

His 2018 Dynasties series, exploring the complexities of animal behaviours, received widespread acclaim, earning praise from Sir David Attenborough himself.

The exclusive talk, scheduled for July 11, is an invitation-only affair aimed at expressing gratitude to the Friends and sponsors of the festival whose unwavering support ensures the festival's continued success.

As a charitable organisation, the festival relies on this support to facilitate its engagement with local schools and colleges, fostering a love for literature and learning within the community.

While the event is invitation-only, it's not too late to become a Friend or sponsor of the festival. Various sponsorship options offer unique benefits, including an invitation to Mike Gunton's talk. Additionally, Friends and sponsors enjoy perks such as priority booking and discounted tickets for the festival itself, which is scheduled to run from October 18 to 26.

For those interested in supporting the Wells Festival of Literature or attending Mike Gunton's talk, further details can be found at www.wellsfestivalofliterature.org.uk under the 'Support Us' section.
