Nurture Vet Hospital in Wells is calling on cat owners to send in their favourite feline photographs as part of its open day celebrations on Saturday, 19 September.

The practice is running a Cat Photography Competition so that local cats and their humans are included in the celebrations. Entries can show cats being cute, cheeky, lazy, mischievous or simply magnificent.

There are ten classes to enter: Cutest Kitten, Most Magnificent Whiskers, The Ultimate Lazy Cat, Most Unusual Sleeping Spot, Best Action Shot, Cat with the Most Character, Best Human & Cat Friendship Photo, The Purr-fect Portrait, Most Mischievous Cat and Best Cat Loaf.

Each class winner will receive a bag of Virbac cat food and a cat toy. Overall winners will also receive vouchers to spend at Nurture Vet Hospital, with £100 for first place, £50 for second place and £25 for third place.

Winners are due to be announced on Friday, 11 September. The overall winning photographs will then be displayed in the hospital waiting room during the open day.

Prizes can be collected at the open day on Saturday, 19 September, or during a future visit to the practice. Entries should be emailed to [email protected].

When entering by email, owners are asked to confirm they are happy for Nurture Vet Hospital to share the submitted photo on its Facebook page, social media channels and in practice displays as part of the competition and open day celebrations.
