Priddy Folk Festival returns this weekend, bringing three days of folk music, dance, workshops, camping and family events to the Mendip village near Wells. The 2026 Priddy Folk Festival runs from Friday, 10 July to Sunday, 12 July, with events taking place on and around the village green in Priddy.

The festival is one of the best-known events in the Wells area summer calendar and draws visitors from across Somerset and further afield. It is run by volunteers and organised as a charity, with surplus money used to support folk music, the arts and improvements in Priddy.

When is Priddy Folk Festival 2026?

Priddy Folk Festival 2026 runs from Friday, 10 July to Sunday, 12 July. The ticketed music programme begins at 7pm on Friday and continues until 5pm on Sunday, with music across three venues on Saturday evening.

Free events also begin on Friday evening, including the open mic night in the Fringe Tent from 7pm. The Fringe Tent on the Market Field will host free music across the weekend, while the wider programme includes dance, art and children's activities on Saturday and Sunday.

Where is Priddy Folk Festival?

Priddy Folk Festival takes place in Priddy, a Mendip village near Wells. Events are centred on and around the village green, with the campsite above Priddy's Top Green, around the village hall and church.

Visitors arriving by car should use the postcode BA5 3BB for Priddy. Organisers are warning that phone and wifi signal can be poor in the Mendip area, so visitors are advised to download maps before travelling.

Who is playing at Priddy Folk Festival 2026?

This year's ticketed line-up includes Dervish, Dallahan, The Melrose Quartet, Kasai Masai, Malin Lewis, The Henry Girls, Michael McGoldrick and Tim Edey, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, Rusty Shackle, The English Fiddle Ensemble, Gaz Brookfield and The Firelight Trio. How much are Priddy Folk Festival tickets?

Tickets are available through the Priddy Folk Festival website. Adult weekend festival tickets are priced at £136, while youth tickets for those aged 12 to 16 are £68.

Children under 12 can attend free when accompanied by an adult. Organisers do not sell day tickets in advance and say they cannot guarantee availability, although a limited number of day tickets may be sold from the Festival Office during the weekend if tickets remain after online sales close.

Tickets are not sold for individual events within the festival. Access to paid venues is by wristband only, with visitors asked to collect wristbands from the Festival Office on the main village green by presenting their ticket or email confirmation.

Can you camp at Priddy Folk Festival?

Camping is sold separately and must be bought with a festival ticket. A camping pitch costs £40, while a camper vehicle pitch costs £60.

The campsite opens at 10am on Friday, and most campers leave on Sunday evening. Campers may stay until Monday morning, but all campers must be off site by 11am on Monday.

Facilities include mobile flush toilets, heated showers, recycling facilities, drinking water points and a chemical toilet disposal point. The campsite is above Priddy's Top Green, around the village hall and church.

Parking and travel for Priddy Folk Festival

Festival car parking opens from midday on Friday. There will be a large parking field on Wells Road, Priddy, with parking costing £3 per car for the day and free for ticket holders.

Payment is collected at the field entrance by card or cash. Public transport options are limited, as the wider area is served by buses and trains but they do not run into Priddy itself.

Drivers travelling from the east are being warned about a major road closure at the junction where Bath Road, the B3139, meets the B3135. The junction was due to close for roadworks from Monday, 6 July, with the closure in place around the clock, and organisers are advising people to check before travelling.

Are dogs allowed at Priddy Folk Festival?

The festival has a no dogs policy, which also applies to the campsite and car parks. Assistance dogs are permitted, and visitors bringing an assistance dog are asked to contact the festival in advance.

Accessibility arrangements include trained volunteer stewards, access to music stages and food and bar areas, wheelchair-accessible toilets and shower facilities, dedicated parking on the green and accessible camping next to the festival site. The Festival Office opens at 10am on Friday and closes at 10pm each evening.

Priddy Folk Festival takes place from Friday, 10 July to Sunday, 12 July. Full ticket and programme information is available from the Priddy Folk Festival website.
