If you're craving a job that doesn't involve a ring light or an ergonomic chair, Wells has got some solid options this week—particularly if you're mechanically minded, planning-savvy or just fancy working nights. There's a definite hum of industry in the air, and it smells faintly of kibble and WD-40.
Rise Technical is offering a Fabric / Facilities Technician role with pay between £32k–£36k, state-of-the-art facilities and technical training. Ideal for someone handy who wants to stay handy—but with better perks.
For those with a green conscience and a flair for spreadsheets, the Senior Drainage Engineer post at an eco-conscious consultancy might appeal. It pays up to £43k and includes SuDS design, flood-risk assessments and mentoring duties.

Meanwhile, Supply Planner roles are cropping up at Mars Petcare (Ditcheat and Pilton) and come with expectations around inventory, European stock movements and planning wizardry. You'll need two years' experience, and ideally, a cool head when someone says "S&OP meeting." Pilton link here.
Prefer overalls to Outlook? There are Production Operatives needed in local manufacturing outfits. Pay starts around £12.77–£13.27/hr and rises after training. It's physical, fast-paced, and possibly loud—but dependable work with clear targets.
Mars is back with a Shift Process Operator listing at James Wellbeloved. Expect shift rotations, material handling and a salary around £28k–£31.5k. Not glamorous, but solid.

You'll also spot more Shift Maintenance Engineer jobs than you can shake a spanner at, with roles in Ditcheat. It's up to £46.1k, includes healthcare, pension and something called Mars University (possibly not as fun as it sounds). Think mechanical faults, electrical fixes, and an unspoken agreement to keep the biscuits flowing.
