Motorbike destroyed in Wells fire as two garages suffer smoke damage

A motorbike was completely destroyed and two garages suffered smoke damage following a fire in Johnson Close, Wells.
The incident happened at around 2.13pm on Monday, April 14. Crews from Wells Fire Station were called to the scene after reports of a vehicle on fire.
Firefighters confirmed a motorbike was alight on arrival. The team used hoses, breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and a hydrant to bring the blaze under control.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "The motorbike was fully destroyed by fire. The cause is believed to be accidental."
The fire also caused smoke logging in two nearby garages, resulting in minor damage.
