Live music night at St Thomas’ Church to support Christian Aid

Energetic fundraisers in Wells are preparing to raise the roof in a night of live music in aid of Christian Aid. St Thomas' Church, on St Thomas' Street, will host the event on Friday 26 September, to help vulnerable international communities.
Local band Loose Ends will perform hits spanning the 1950s to 1970s, promising a lively evening that will get everyone up dancing. The fun starts at 7.30pm, with a licensed bar available. Tickets are £10, and are on sale from the church office and Wells Tourist Information Centre — or on the door (cash only).
Proceeds will go to support Christian Aid's work around the world. In 2024, Christian Aid partnered with 260 organisations to reach about 4.5 million people through projects like savings and loans associations, farming co‑operatives, climate disaster risk training, and healthcare schemes.
Event organisers hope for a big turnout — an opportunity to enjoy a great night while helping those who need it most.
