Wells jobs roundup: New roles now hiring across the city

If your idea of career progression currently involves moving from one side of the sofa to the other, Wells employers may have other plans for you. Fresh vacancies this week include logistics, catering and trades roles, with local firms looking for everyone from painters and decorators to warehouse and cooking operatives.

Roles currently listed on Nub News cover education, marketing, care, logistics, manufacturing, finance and trades. So whether your dream is spreadsheets, saucepans or stacking pallets, there is something to click on.

In Street, Clarks is advertising for a Global Head of Marketing - Clarks Originals. Big shoes to fill, quite literally. The company is also looking for a Junior Graphic Designer - Summer Intern, ideal for someone creative who can tell their CMYK from their OMG.

Millfield School is seeking a Clerk to the Governors and Compliance Officer, a full-time senior governance role with a closing date of Sunday, 24 May 2026. It is one for the highly organised, the discreet, and anyone who has ever looked at a meeting agenda and thought: "I can improve this."

Brookside Academy Nursery is recruiting a Nursery Practitioner - Level 3, with a listed salary of £25,562.81 a year and a closing date of Monday, 11 May 2026. Patience, kindness and the ability to remain cheerful in the presence of glitter are likely to help.

In Shepton Mallet, Somerset Community Foundation is advertising for a Senior Fundraising Manager, based at Yeoman House at the Bath and West Showground. A good fit for someone who can charm donors, juggle strategy and still remember where they saved the spreadsheet.
