Friday 27 February begins with the Glastonbury Carers Group at Brunel Glastonbury Care Home, Pike Close, BA6 9PZ. Organised by Somerset Carers Service and West Mendip PCN, the free and informal gathering is for people who regularly look after someone in an unpaid capacity. Attendees can arrive from 10.30am, and first-time visitors are asked to call ahead in case of schedule changes. Carers are welcome to bring the person they support, who can join activities and conversation with residents.

Also on Friday from 12 noon to 4pm, The Write Assistant Writers Retreat takes place at Friars Oven Farm, West Compton, BA4 4PD. On Saturday 28 February, the Janey Hunt Studio Sale begins at 8 Manning Close, Wells BA5 2XT, running daily from 10.30am to 4pm until Sunday 8 March.
