Wells has been named one of the UK's most welcoming cities.
It ranked sixth in a national list compiled by Booking.com as part of its 14th annual Traveller Review Awards, which are based on more than 370 million verified customer reviews worldwide.
Booking.com said the awards recognise destinations that consistently deliver "exceptional hospitality".
Ryan Pearson, Regional Manager for UK & Ireland at Booking.com, said: "Booking.com's Traveller Review Awards are based on millions of verified guest reviews and recognise destinations that consistently deliver exceptional hospitality - and Wells, Somerset has been recognised as one of the UK's most welcoming cities for exactly that reason.
"Across Booking.com, travellers staying in Wells regularly highlight the warmth of their reception, with reviews praising 'friendly and attentive hosts', 'exceptionally welcoming staff', highlighting an overall genuine sense of care that makes visitors feel immediately at home.
"Travellers are increasingly choosing destinations that feel authentic, friendly and personal - and while Wells boasts an iconic cathedral, historic streets and access to Somerset countryside, it's the city's welcoming atmosphere that inspires repeat visits and recommendations for travellers, earning it a top spot in the UK's most welcoming cities."
