Free prostate cancer testing day to be held at Wells Town Hall in February

A free prostate cancer testing event will take place at Wells Town Hall on Saturday 21 February 2026.
The Somerset Prostate Support Association (SPSA) is inviting men aged 40 and over to book confidential appointments between 10am and 4pm. Each test takes 10 to 15 minutes and will be carried out by qualified medical practitioners.
Organisers said early diagnosis is key. Around 40,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, and about 10,000 die from the disease.
Peter Hopwood from SPSA said anyone with questions can call 01458 441669 or email [email protected]. Tests must be booked online in advance at mypstatests.org.uk/events. No walk-in appointments will be available on the day.
