Music lovers in Wells are invited to a special choral concert this month, featuring The Swan Singers in their 10th-anniversary season.

The group will perform The Musical Roads to Compostela, a unique journey through the music of England, France, the Basque Country, and Portugal, concluding in Santiago de Compostela.

The benefit concert for Evolve Music will take place on Saturday, 25 January, at 7 PM at St Thomas Church in Wells. The 70-minute performance will feature works by composers including Victoria, Lobo, Philips, Vivanco, and Debussy, alongside texts from writers such as Chaucer, Bunyan, and Roosevelt.

The Swan Singers, based in Wells, are renowned for their performances spanning the Renaissance to the modern day. This concert is part of Evolve Music's Play it Forward scheme, which encourages musical groups to support community music initiatives. All proceeds from the event will go towards Evolve Music's efforts to provide inclusive music services across the South West.

Tickets are £10 (plus booking fees) and are available via Eventbrite or on the door. Seating is limited to 220, so early booking is recommended. Light refreshments will be available in the church hall.
