Police have increased high-visibility patrols across Somerset in a bid to engage more closely with residents and address concerns about anti-social behaviour (ASB) and crime.

The local beat team confirmed that regular foot and cycle patrols are being carried out, with officers reviewing areas frequently to identify locations at risk of rising ASB or criminal activity.

A spokesperson said: "We're committed to being visible and approachable in the community. Our officers will be out on regular patrols alongside partner agencies, so please feel free to stop and speak with us if you have any concerns or questions."

The proactive approach aims to deter crime while building stronger relationships between officers and the community.

Residents are encouraged to engage with officers during patrols and report any concerns through official channels to help police continue identifying and responding to community safety priorities.
