A car was left in ruins following a fire on Bristol Road in Ston Easton on October 28.

A fire crew from Wells was alerted to the scene at around 11:30 pm after receiving reports of a burning vehicle.

According to a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, "Our teams were immediately equipped with one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet. Due to the severity of the blaze, a second fire appliance for water was requested, and an additional crew from Wells was mobilised."

The firefighters successfully extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet, a safety jet, a breathing apparatus, and a thermal imaging camera.

No one was injured in the incident, but the car sustained complete damage. The fire was determined to be accidental in nature.
