With the BBC beginning to reveal the celebrity line-up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, residents at Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells, Somerset, enjoyed their very own taste of ballroom glamour this week as experienced dancers Terry and Jenny Willie visited the home to present a wonderful dance showcase.

The Bristol-based husband-and-wife team, who have been dancing together for an incredible 47 years, treated residents to a delightful performance celebrating some of the most popular ballroom and Latin dance styles. The performance was divided into two entertaining halves. The first featured classic ballroom favourites including the Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing and Quickstep, showcasing elegance and style. Following a colourful costume change, Terry and Jenny returned with an upbeat Latin American set, including the Rumba, Paso Doble and Salsa.

The couple's long-standing partnership, warmth, humour and enjoyment for dance shone through every performance. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the upbeat and feel-good atmosphere, with plenty of swaying, clapping, singing along and even a little participation encouraged. Residents also enjoyed hearing stories from Terry and Jenny's days of competing at pre-championship level, which included mention of some of ballroom's most recognisable names, including Shirley Ballas, Len Goodman and Anton du Beke, all familiar faces to fans of Strictly Come Dancing.

Throughout their lives, Terry and Jenny have toured extensively, performing demonstrations, hosting social and charity ballroom dance events, and teaching dancers of all ages and abilities. They now share their love of dance through visits to care homes, proving that age is no barrier to enjoying something you love.

Resident Sheila, said "I thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was great to see them doing what they do best, and we could tell they were enjoying the dancing as much as we were."

Darius Ivana, General Manager at Crandon Springs Care Home, said: "It was wonderful for our residents to experience the magic and glamour of ballroom dancing up close. Terry and Jenny brought not only skill and entertainment, but also warmth, humour and a genuine passion for what they do. The atmosphere in the room was fantastic, with residents singing along, clapping and joining in. It was one of those special afternoons that left everyone smiling."
