Title: "The Tempest: A Resonant Tale of Family Rifts and Political Unrest at Wells Little Theatre"

Amid an era marked by political unrest and climate uncertainty, theatre remains a potent medium for reflecting our societal struggles.

On this note, Wells Little Theatre is set to stage William Shakespeare's "The Tempest", a timeless play that captures themes of sibling rivalry, familial rifts, and the quest for survival, all set on a remote island full of mystical occurrences.

On a distant island, a man waits.

Robbed of his position, power and wealth, his enemies have left him in isolation. But this is no ordinary man, and this no ordinary island. Prospero is a magician, able to control the very elements and bend nature to his will. When a sail appears on the horizon, he reaches out across the ocean to the ship that carries the men who wronged him.

Creating a vast magical storm he wrecks the ship and washes his enemies up on the shore. When they wake they find themselves lost on a fantastical island where nothing is as it seems.

The play will be performed at Wells Little Theatre and more information about the play, as well as tickets, can be found on their website.

"The Tempest" will run from 13th September 2023 to 16th September 2023.
