A 10-year-old girl from Wells has raised more than £700 for The Little Princess Trust.

Sammy Kendellen wanted to mark her 10th birthday by having her long locks chopped off for the charity. And on June 11 she did just that – and is now sporting a stylish new haircut!

Sammy was hoping to raise £500 for the charity which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. And she has smashed that target, with more than £700 already pledge.

Sammy's grandmother, Joy Davies, said, "I am so proud of Sammy – what an amazing thing to do on her 10th birthday! I would also like to give a huge thanks to everyone who supported her and has donated."

Anyone who would like to donate can do so HERE.
