Job: Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Wells, Somerset

Hours: Mon-Fri 8.00am-5.30pm

Contract: PERMANENT

Are you a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician and good at what you do? Would you like to work with a busy talented team? My client is an independent garage and work from a modern facility based in Wells. MOT Tester preferred; however, training will be available for eligible candidates.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• cam belts, gear boxes, clutches, exhausts and tyres alongside other daily car maintenance duties.
• Welding, Component replacement, electrical repair, and overhaul
• You will be responsible for repairs on all makes and models of vehicles:

Who we will consider for this role: The successful candidate will have a strong technical background with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. You must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity together with the initiative and ability to work without supervision. You must be able to work to deadlines in a safe working environment, and keep work areas clean, tidy, organised, and safe from hazards to health and safety. Be able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite and efficient manner. Applicants must have a flexible approach to work and a full understanding of customer satisfaction.

You must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/ NVQ 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification) although level 2 will be considered. You must hold a driving Licence.
