The Showground hosts various other events organised by third-party event organisers, which, together with catering concessions, is worth circa £1m per year of additional revenue.

It is felt that this area of the business has huge commercial potential not least with a newly refurbished 2-storey restaurant building completed in 2019 and the Rural Enterprise Centre that opened in early 2018.

The role's primary purpose is to provide the necessary support to deliver marketing activities for the Royal Bath & West Society, Bath & West Showground,Royal Bath & West Show& the Dairy Show. There will also be a focus on growing existing Membership.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing support to the Marketing Executive / Manager to deliver the marketing activities for the Royal Bath & West Show&the Dairy Show, ensuring both events are effectively promoted to the relevant target markets for growing visitor numbers.

Providing support to the Marketing Executive / Manager to deliver the marketing activities for the Bath & West Showground, helping to put the Showground on the map, as the commercial potential is tapped into and further new event opportunities are explored.

This role will also include taking ownership of the marketing for British Cheese, Awardsincluding monitoring & updating the website & social media accounts and working closely with our PR Agency.

Taking the lead with the Royal Bath & West Society Membership, including promoting membership opportunities to encourage new members to join, keeping in regular communication with existing members & creating a yearly programme of exclusive membership events.

These are the key responsibilities, but it should also be recognised that with a small but dynamic team, there will be a need to have a "roll up sleeves and get things done" attitude.

WORKING ARRANGEMENTS:

Days of Work: There is basic working week of 36.25 Hours across 5 days per week. There may be times when extra hours are required. Time off in LIEU will be given as agreed with your Line Manager.

LOCATION:

The post-holder should ideally live within reasonable travelling distance of The Showground, BA4 6QN.

CLOSING DATE & INTERVIEWS:
