Nicholas Howard is delighted to be recruiting for a Lead Front-End Developer to join an exciting tech SME, which specialises in the smart energy grid space. The company is focussed on solving the challenges of a flexible energy grid for a greener future. They trade energy flexibility with national energy comampies, and their onsite device control microgrids using IoT sensors to monitor and control equipment including batteries, heat-pumps and electric vehicle chargers.

We are looking for a talented software developer to lead thier cloud development team on a full-time basis. We want someone with excellent user interface design skills, who can deliver a user experience to delight our users with simplicity and visual elegance.

You will be part of a small team bringing new ideas to life, taking part in the whole development lifecycle, from design, implementation, testing, right through to deployment. They create new software with high quality, maintainable code and advanced algorithmics, so this is a role for someone who will really enjoy the challenge; you will not be a small cog in a big machine!

There are a few key elements to this role: front-end development, having a product-focussed mindset, and leadersihp - in terms of both leading the UI design components of the product, and also building and leading a small team in the future.
